Comes with standard Weber case in very good condition.įull disclosure: It has one tiny finish discoloration on the bottom back side near the tailpiece that is about a half inch wide by an eighth inch. I highly recommend it to keep the top resonating freely, but will remove it if not desired. Has a custom fit arm rest which is also included. Other features: K&K mandolin twin installed at the factory with jack exiting via the tailpiece. I'll throw in a fresh pair of these strings or change them in advance if buyer desires. Currently strung with JP2280's which are on the light side for an octave set but still yields a lot of volume and great tone. you can play melody lines up and down the neck effortlessly with the low action, great setup and recent fret dressing it has had. It is absolutely perfect for use as a guitar substitute in a Celtic session or the recording studio. Unlike many A shaped octaves this instrument has f-holes so it has more cut and punch than an oval hole design. I have owned both and definitely prefer 22 but this is a personal preference. Long scale give much more resonance than the 20 inch alternative. This instrument is a 22 inch "long scale" configuration. Most often you will find the Bitterroot octave model which is typically mahogany not maple bodied. These days Weber only makes F bodied Yellowstone octaves and they cost $6000+ if you can find one. This was a custom order instrument as there has never been a 2pt Yellowstone in the catalog.
CAFE SUITE 4600 DENVER PROFESSIONAL
Offering for sale a lovely professional quality octave mandolin in excellent condition. I don't think there is even a pick overrun scratch on it. I'm in the SE Texas area and would prefer a sale without shipping! The photo here is very representative of the condition of the rest of the instrument.
CAFE SUITE 4600 DENVER PLUS
I am asking $2,400 plus shipping, in consideration of its "garage queen" condition, the added pickup, and Elderly setup. Otherwise, I'm probably not interested in a trade. I took a year of cello lessons and might consider trading for a cello, probably needing to add $$ to this instrument as I am looking for a high quality cello. The action is good per the Elderly Instruments setup and there is no wear on the frets or fretboard. The woods of the instrument are gorgeous and the sound is deep and resonant as it should be. The line is very shallow, probably can be removed, and it's the only remarkable damage I can find on the case or the instrument. It has the factory hard-shell case which is also in new condition with exception of a light line on the crown of the top cover. I had a K&K pickup installed with an end-pin jack and the instrument sounds very good as acoustic and amplified. It was brand new when I received it and remains in that condition. Just prior to receiving the instrument from Elderly the previous owner took a bad fall that seriously injured his shoulder. The previous owner bought the instrument new and had it shipped directly from Eastman to Elderly Instruments to have a new nut installed and to shave the saddle for narrower string spacing. On hold, sale pending.I bought this instrument in 2015 from the Cafe.
